DC++ preconfigured version for IITB (Windows users steps 1-20) (Linux / Mac users steps 21/22)
WHY use DC++?
DC++ is Direct Connect software for sharing of data among users inside same subnet. This way, you get data at very high speeds. Data moves from users to users directly within subnet, so internet bandwidth is preserved.
eg. if a 700MB movie is first downloaded from internet by one user, others can get it within 1 min. from DCpp and rest users will also have high speed internet.
Download happens in segments and also from multiple people sharing the same file. so even if user goes offline, no need to worry. Go to download queue, right click and select search for alternates and your download shall resume.
Check debugging section at the end of this page if you are getting errors.
You can also read FAQs page.
